A MESSAGE TO NIGERIANS AND AFRICA AS A WHOLE...........YOU CAN NOT CHANGE YOUR COUNTRY UNLESS YOU CHANGE YOUR THINKING (FREE YOURSELF FROM MENTAL SLAVERY AND INFERIORITY COMPLEX)
I hope you get the main point of this article, because this are rough thought put together by me, as you go through this post i would show you why we do not like ourselves and the reasons and it effect in making Nigeria underdeveloped and corrupt And i will also give you reasons to appreciate your culture and yourself. This article is based on thoughts stired up by research
To take a tree out permanently we start from the root, but we fail to see that the same principle also applies to solving our problem,The greatest problem in our country Nigeria is not corruption but lack of love among ourselves and our culture , and this is caused by mental slavery, if you do not value your cultural values you can not love your country and others would not value you and this is far from putting on native attires and celebrating cultural festivals
As a man thinketh in his heart so is he __proverbs 23 vs 7
After colonization and the so called independence ,we Nigerians believed we are free from our colonial masters, not knowing they left us with something more greater than physical slavery called mental slavery,
MENTAL SLAVERY:mental slavery is a state of mind where discerning between liberation and enslavement is twisted, where one becomes trapped by misinformation about self and the world,so someone can claim to be conscious, they can read all the books they can recycle the popular rhetoric but still be unable to balance world priorities and self interest
Here we tend to do away with our culture and appreciate the white man's culture,we see our history as myth and superstitution but believe without doubt the history of the white and this start from childhood and this is unknown to us, (unless you change a persons thinking, you cannot change him,) so is our nation Nigeria, if we don not change our thinking, we can not change our nation, no matter who rules,or who is president
its discerning to see that we no longer teach Nigeria history in most of our schools and institution. Nigeria history which is suppose to be a core subject in schools is classified as an art course, it would supprise you to know that an average nigerian know more about the white culture than his own, we even know most of their states and country names off heart, while their children know nothing about us, they even think we live in caves,
we claim we do not see ourselves as inferior, but see it as a priviledge when we are being visited by a white man, like when mark zuckerberg came in, while we are been treated badly in most of their states
we keep making excuses saying it was not our fault we were slaves, or colonised, but it remains our fault if we stay that way,
the problem with an excuse is it is inexhaustible, when it get burntdown it rekindles itself by finding more excuses to fuel its self delusions-----anonymous
The ones shouting AFRIKA are terrified of being African, they shout africa and like a turtle run back into their shell surrounded by all things white and familiar , Euro names, euro clothes, euro mindset, euro dreams, being africa is a hobby on social media_____according to africanholocaust
morpheus once said, we never free a mind once its reached a certain age, its dangerous, the mind has problem letting go
Being african is a fashion instead of a making it a way of life, we say black is beautiful only on photoshoot and advert, but in real life we bleach our skins
and this keeps going in circle until our culture would be wiped out if we don't act now

now we see our own things as inferior and we dont know the cause, but it starts from childhood,as a child we are been bombarded with white images than our own images, from childhood our mind are been geard to like white things unknowingly to our parents, thats the reason we prefer imported things to ours
---what you see takes more place in your heart than what you hear.
first they buy us white toys
secondly they buy us story books with lot of white characters
90 percent of cartoons we watched are white characters, while the bad charcters on them are usually black characters,
our designers even use white images for advert, flyers, banners, billboard and cover of textbooks
we are even told we sold our people into slavery when instead we where deceived ,remember they also said the came in peace
if you are not careful, the newspaper will have you hating the people who are being oppressed and loving the people who are doing the oppressing__malcolm x
we are been punished in schools for speaking our local dialect instead we are been taught to speak the whites man language and sees it as proper, we see english language as a standard language
it is so funny when we laugh at people who make mistakes in a language that is not our own and see them as not properly educated or uncivilized
we call our local dialect vernacular(__ Fela)
The second problem is what Christians are made to believe by the very people who brought the religion into their country:
We are living in a time when image-making has become a science.Someone can create a certain image and then use that image to twist your mind and lead you right up a blind path___malcolm x
what most Christians fail to do is research on how Christianity came about, the present day Christianity in Nigeria came from missionaries from Europe (the greatest evil that can ever happen to a man is when your oppressors teaches you)
most of what we know today are from them, first they portrayed Jesus and angels as white then portrayed satan as black so funny, thus trying to make black see themselves as evil, the image we see today as Jesus is of a man named Cesar Borgia (google it) .The bible Christianity is based on never gave the skin color of satan ,instead it said he was very handsome, and if you would do research, you would find out that Jesus was black skinned so were ancient Egyptians and Israelite, and it would shock you to know that the present day Israelite are not the true Israelite,
so christian children begin to see who they worship as white,
this then make us see white as superior and want to be like them despite all they did to our ancestors, we tend to say we are free but hate our selves and our culture and use the word civilisation as means to be who we are not
if the black man is not careful he will drink in the poison of modern civilization and die from the effect of it____ Marcus Garvey
for seeing being white as the standard of being beautiful we try to bleach our skin, that is why you see creams like caro white, fair and white and all sort in high sales in our market all produced by the white nation to help us ruin our skin since we aspire to be like them and this creams are created specifically for us, or does a person who is already white need a bleaching cream?, because from childhood we have been made to believe black is evil and we all want to be like the white man who we think he is superior, we want to dress like them , talk like them, even bear their names, now you see people doing away with their native name on Facebook, adding their english name and their dads english name to sound more ENGLISH, here you see name like martins john, Jovita Daniels,
we claim we don't see ourselves as inferior, but we see taking a picture with a white man as an achievement and we are quick to post on social medias, we see having a white man in our midst as a privilege especially in Nigeria companies,
how can we say we don't see ourselves as inferior, but we seek the labour of white men to construct our roads, when we have many nigerians who are specialty in those field, you don't expect a man to love his country when his value and worth is being shattered by the same country he calls his own
we claim to be liberated but most of our top companies are owned by the white man, even our oil is even controlled by them
We always blame our Government for the bad situation of the country, what we fail to see is that our rulers were once children who have been taught to love the white and see them better than themselves
we place more value on white things than black, here you see white phones being more expensive than black phones(and we think it is normal) but this is what the white man has continued to do to make us look more inferior
we claim we do not feel inferior but sees the white man as intelligent
we say we can't invent things or create things, but how can a person create time to think, when after bringing forth his invention his brothers dont place value on it
how can a person be creative , when the government and people around him do not support his little effort and creativity and see it as waste of time
how can we be creative and invent things, when we are been forced to study what we don't like and find very difficult to assimilate,
how can we be developed when our children who came out in flying colours on foreign universities are been caged there, what i mean by being caged is this..in abroad when they notice a foreigner is very talented, they tend to make him more comfortable by providing him with all he needs, thereby preventing him from going back to his country, thereby using him in bettering their country, we fail to see this, but we see it as an achievement when our people gain employment there , you can go google this out to have better understanding
we copy evil from our oppresors and see it as civilisation, now you can see women dress half naked in the street promoting lust, and they later complain thet they are being raped
we dont even allow our boys to carry locks and afro, we see it as indecent, our girls even add bad chemicals to their hair to make them straight like the whites, but that was how God created our hair, no matter how an african comb his hair within few hours its still get locked, so was samson in the bible he was with locks, so were the real black isrealites, read numbers 6:5, now we make our boys cut their hair in school, but when we see a white boy with long curly hair, we dont see anything wrong with it, we see it as beautiful,
an older nigerian sees cutting of their hair as being decent and smart but less do we know that the idea came through colonal eras, before the colanal era, we did not see long hair as being indecent
inferiority complex. It's no different from black women perm and/or alter their hair or tie it down as opposed to leaving it. In the US, during the slavery era, there were actually law that required African Americans to cover theirhair in public or in the presence of white people. As Africans, we did cut our hair low before the coming of the white to Africa but what some people fail to realizeis that in that same process, their arrival brought about an inferiority complex that was not naturally within us hence the nonchalant manner that we regard our hair--its become such an engrained part of us that we no longer take into consideration the historical and cultural aspect it has on us.
we now even relax our hair to make them straight like the whites, as if God who made it that way didn't know what he was doing
One of the first things they did when they caught you was to cut off your hair. That was merely the beginning of a long process of wiping out your culture and identity – to break your spirit to make you easier to control.___anonymous
I love the book hairstory, the cutting of the slave’s hair was indeed a way to dehumanise them and it also created a bit of confusion because there were specific styles worn by a specific tribe.
Most people know about the brown paper bag test where if you were darker than a brown paper bag you were not allowed inside a place, well there was also a fine toother combed test back then where if the comb couldn’t pass through your hair easily then you were not allowed in the club. The thing that I hate about the negro elite was how brainwashed all of them were and when they went to Liberia they brought all that “good hair/bad hair” and “light skin vs dark skin” bull crap with them
The idea of “good hair”: living in a country of white racists made black women see kinky hair as “bad hair” and straight, flowing hair as “good hair”. So they tried to straighten their hair even if it meant using dangerous chemicals like lye (which they mixed with potatoes).__anonymous
some fools who do not know the black history would say after all the white man taught us how to read and write and invented everything we use today, but that is a lie from the pit of hell,
The greatest evil that ever happened to us was slavery and colonisation, until we free our mind from mental slavery our country can not go forward
before the white man invasion, where we not living well, do we not have the benin moat which is greater than the walls of china,do we no have sculptures which they stole, The african tribe still have art running in their veins, we have the best sporstman, the greatest musicians, basketballers, boxers, writers, it would shock you to know that a black man designed the city of washington whose name is Benjamin Benneker(astronomer and mathematician), in fact and details civilisation and invention started from africa in egypt and nobody can change that, their is no white history without including the black race, because they came from us ,,,,read the note below and see what am talking about
(((Africans gave us Math, Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry! -Including the Arabic Numbers! Africans also originated the world’ s first known universities.
The falsely credited Pythagoras and Euclid learned their knowledgefrom Egypt’ s “ Sacred Mystery Schools,”
which were the first universities known to man (with branches in other parts of the world, including China!)
Estimated by computer analysis to have approached a mile in length, the temple-university of Luxor housed an elite faculty of priest-professors and catered to some 80,000 students at all grade levels! Temples were at the center of religion, politics and education.
The Ethiopians and Egyptians originated Mathematics and Trigonometry. The African Moors originated Algebra and developed Trigonometry into a science. The word Algebra is derived from “ Al-Jabr wa’ l Muqabala, ” the title of the first textbook on the subject. From the name of the Black author, “ Al-Khowarizmi.”We get the word algorithm (a math procedure). The Arabic numbers we use today came from he ancient Arab people who
were originally Black Africans! And many of them still are!
Chemistry & the word itself is from Black Egypt. And where would the world be without PAPER and ALPHABET? Africans gave us both! The words Chemistry/ Alchemy are from the word Kam or Khem, the name that the ancient Egyptians called themselves that means BLACK. Africans invented paper and papermaking. Paper was made from papyrus, hence the name. Before this, writing was done on stone tablets. The alphabet used by Western civilization originates from the Black Phoenicians who copied the principles from the Africans of the Nile Valley.
The real ‘ Father of Medicine’ was the African multi-genius Imhotep of ancient Egypt, not Hippocrates who lived 2000 years later. Imhotep brought the knowledgeof medicine to Greece and Rome. He was a world famous physician, architect, high priest, diplomat, economist, poet, philosopher, sage, magician, astronomer, engineer, and designer of the Step Pyramid of Sakkara. He was so revered that he was deified while still living and worshipped as the Great God of Medicine. The Greeks renamed him Aesclepios, the God of Healing. The phrase “ drink and be merry...” is traced to him.
The symbol of the medical profession, the caduceus (a winged staff entwined by two serpents), was theinsignia found on his temples. Imhotep temples in fact were the first hospitals known to man! Stlen from Africa, his many volumes are at Karl Marx University in Leipzig, Germany “ From Egypt comes the earliest medical books,
the first observatory for anatomy - human and comparative - the first experiments in surgery and pharmacy, the first use of splints and bandages, compresses and other appliances, and the first anatomical and medical vocabulary, and an extensive one at that.”
(S. Glanvile: The Legacy of Egypt p196) European medicine is founded on the works of Imhotep and Black Muslims, Avicenna and Rhazes. For rich details, see LlailaO. Afrika: African Holistic Health.
This race of black men... is the very race to which we owe our arts, our sciences, and even the use of speech.)))) copied from africaholocaust.net
we may think we are liberated ,but hw can that be when we still value the white and his culture to ours, you may say thats wrong , you value your culture! but action speaks louder than words
when BOb marley said ,(emancipate yourself from mental slavery, non but ourself can free our mind) ,many of us sing the song, but few have cared to know what it really means, we think the only oppressed people is the black americans, but i tell you we are all both oppressed, both physically and mentally
the quote was derived from a speech given by the pan africanist orator Marcus Garvey entitled "the work that has been done
We are going to emancipate ourselves from mental slavery because whilst others might free the body, none but ourselves can free the mind. Mind is your only ruler, sovereign. The man who is not able to develop and use his mind is bound to be the slave of the other man who uses his mind
____Marcus Garvey
Some stuff that come from internalized racism:
- colourism
- “good hair”
- “acting white”
- skin lightening
- “not being black enough”
- wearing coloured contact lenses
- Black women are ugly and disagreeable
- Black men are no good and undependable
- Life will be better if I act or look more like white people
- That to be black you must act like the black people on television
- That to be black you must have certain interests, tastes and beliefs
IF God doesn't intervene and if we do not embrace who we really are and try to promote more of our culture and less of the white culture, i see a white washed nation in future, a nation who would not appreciate who they really are, a nation who would not know the custom of their people and do away with the little they know,a nation whose descendant would not be able to speak their local dialect ,a nation where they see their dialect as inferior and call those who speak them as uncivilized
IN RELATION TO BETTERING OUR NATION, WE NEED TO START PROMOTING OUR CULTURE AND CUSTOMS TO OUR CHILDREN SO THEY WOULD GROW TO LOVE,APPRECIATE IT, WE NEED TO START EDUCATING OUR CHILDREN ON EVERY HISTORY OF OUR PEOPLE WE CAN LAY OUR HAND ON AND START TEACHING THEM WHO WE REALLY ARE, AND WE SHOULD TRY TO DO AWAY WITH WHITE CULTURE, BECAUSE YOU CAN ONLY TAKE CARE OF WHAT YOU LOVE. WHEN SOMETHING IS NOT PRESENTED WELL TO YOU OR PRESENTED TO YOU AS EVIL OR AS INFERIOR ,YOU TEND TO DO AWAY WITH IT.
IF WE CAN'T MAKE OUR CHILDREN FEEL PROUD OF WHO WE ARE THEN WHERE DOES THE FUTURE OF OUR NATION LIES?
THE WHITE MAN HAS COME AND GO, BUT IT IS LEFT FOR US TO DECIDE IF WE WOULD FREE OUR MINDS FROM MENTAL SLAVERY AND START SEEING OURSELVES AS WHO WE REALLY ARE ,
THIS IS A COUNTRY EVEN THROUGH HARDSHIP,POVERTY WE STILL PRODUCE THE BEST DOCTORS, BEST ENGINEERS, BEST POETS
HOW MUCH MORE WOULD WE ACHIEVE IF WE CAN LOVE OURSELVES, APPRECIATE OURSELVES AND SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER
WE CAN ONLY MAKE NIGERIA GREAT IF WE CAN START TO APPRECIATE OUR CULTURE AND LOVE OUR HERITAGE AND OURSELVES.
